SURFACE PREPARATION

Joint areas should be cleaned from dust, cement, and other residuals before application. To this end, joints should be scraped by means of thin stick and brushed. Joint gaps should be moistened under dry and hot ambient conditions, especially in perpendicular plane.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

20 kg of BEYFIX JOINT FILLING MORTAR is slightly poured into 6-6,5 l of . water at ambient temperature between + + +5 °C and +35°C and mixed by a mixer with low revolution (400-600 rpm) to obtain a homogeneous mixture. The mortar prepared is left to mature by 5-10 minutes, after which it is further mixed by 1-2 minutes before starting application. It must be given special attention to that adhesive must have cured before application. Mortar is to be filled into surface by means of rubber spatula in parallel and then cross movements, after which the residuals are scraped from surface. Depending on ambient temperature, the surface is to be wiped by means of moist sponge before material losses water and gets dry (20-30 minutes later than application). Residuals on the surface should be wiped out by dry cloth when BEYFIX JOINT FILLING MORTAR is still wet. Cleaning agents such as bleacher, muriatic acid, lime remover, etc should not be applied to joint gaps in order to revent being damaged of colored joint sealant.
