QUARTZ AND CORUNDUMAGGREGATED FLOOR HARDENING MORTAR

QUARTZ AND CORUNDUMAGGREGATED FLOOR HARDENING MORTAR

DEFINITION
It is a surface hardener that creates high resistant and abrasion resistant surfaces for industrial floors thanks to its cement, quartz, corundum, specially selected aggregate and chemical additives and pigment content.
AREAS OF USE
It is used indoors and outdoors in industrial and commercial areas such as warehouses, shopping malls, factories, workshops, parking lots, service stations, aircraft hangars, helipads, shipyards, etc where high mechanical abrasion resistance and dust resistance are required
ADVANTAGES
It provides smooth and non-dusting surfaces. It has high resistance to abrasion and impacts. Due to its high impermeability, it is highly resistant to grease and petroleum oils. It is easy to clean. There are plenty of color options. It is economical and easy to apply. It is long-lasting.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The quality of the concrete on which BEYFİX QUARTZ AND CORUNDUM AGGREGATED SURFACE HARDENER will be applied is important. Compressive strength should be at least 25 N / mm2. For a good result, the concrete should contain sufficient amount of cement (300-350 kg / m3) and the thickness of the floor concrete should be at least 15 cm. The unset concrete surface on which the product will be applied should be smoothed with a steel trowel or a wooden trowel instead of a tray finishing. Surface hardener is ready for application if a a 5-10 mm deep mark is formed on the concrete surface when pressed with your thumb. Concretes with air-entraining admixtures are not suitable for surface hardeners.
INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
2/3 of BEYFIX QUARTZ AND CORUNDUM AGGREGATED SURFACE HARDENER is sprinkled on the surface manually or with suitable tools and homogeneously distributed. There should be no clump on application surface. In order not to decompose aggregates in the product, sprinkling should not be done over long distances. Wait until sprinkled material is moistened evenly by the water of concrete at every point. The material, whose color changes after absorbing the water, is rubbed into the surface with a low-speed trowel (helicopter) and thus, it is communed with concrete. Remaining 1/3 of the material is sprinkled on the surface homogeneously and when it gets dark color, finishing is done by being fed into the floor. Finally, for the smoothing process, the blade finishing is done.
Preliminary betterment is made at low speed and with the lowest angle, after which final correction is made
until desired brightness is achieved at high speed . Upon completion of application BEYFIX QUARTZ AND CORUNDUM AGGREGATED SURFACE HARDENING MORTAR is applied to prevent premature drying and cracking. Depending on the ambient temperature, false joints are cut in a width of 4 mm within 1-7 days after the application is completed, and filled with appropriate joint filler after cleaning.
